Snowbound Nova Scotians
I wrote this little diddy after seeing snow pictures my sister posted on Facebook
Sung to the tune “Farewell to Nova Scotia”
***********
Chorus:
Farewell to Sno-va Scotia, the snow bound land
may your cars be parked and ticket free.
For when I am far away on the Cancun coast,
Will you ever heave a finger or a curse to me?
************My son was buried in snow to his chest,
and homeowners were cursing on every street.
Mother nature seems gone out west
So still there was no rest for me.
***********
Chorus
***********
I think to grab my shovel in hand,
I wonder how much I can endure.
And my aging bones that creak and groan,
That plow driver can kiss my ass for sure.
***********
Chorus
***********
I have the family and they’re the best,
but their arms are folded in protest.
So a poor landlubber such as me,
Will have to endure the snow neck deep.
***********
Chorus
***********
The tractor drives by and the shouting begins,
The boss he calls, I must come in.
So shovel as I go down the street,
For its only Wednesday morning as I think of spring.
***********
Chorus.
***********

These Colours Don’t Run
When the situation gets hot,
these colours don’t run.
When there is injustice,
these colours don’t run.
When trouble comes your way,
these colours don’t run.
When help is called upon,
these colours don’t run.
When in times of need,
these colours don’t run.
When there is little hope,
these colours don’t run.
When you need a friend,
these colours don’t run.
When in counts,
these colours don’t run.

Google, DMCA, trademark and Safe Harbor issues
We are having to deal with scumbags who are using our registered trademark ‘Woodworkers Workshop’ (and its derivative spellings) to enhance their promotion of the sale of woodworking products. The person(s) selling this illegal product use an affiliate system to promote the sale of its product. They can’t seem to make these illegal sales by themselves so they lure uneducated people in with the promise of commission on sales.

Oh deer…
Another hot day comes to an end. Well over 30 C all day with clear skies and we were outdoors finishing up paint trim on windows, cleared out some wild growth bamboo-like trees/grass and cut down a few overgrown evergreen bushes. I know I’m bushed!

Woodchucking
How much Canuck wood would the Woodchuck Canuck chuck
if the Woodchuck Canuck could chuck Canuck wood?
The Woodchuck Canuck would chuck Canuck wood, and would chuck as much
Canuck wood as the Woodchuck Canuck could chuck
if the Woodchuck Canuck could chuck Canuck wood.
