Wood spirits
Clearly what caught my attention was this old photo showing the tremendous pile of cant beams! Honestly, we will never see piles of wood like that again…ever. But what caught my eye immediately after that was the appearance of a face on the end of one of those beams.

Hurricane Matthew 2016
We are in the middle of a power outage here, not much to do other than walk around and assess the damage and then clean up. This tree is on the north side of the house. Its easy to see what the strong winds have done. -
