Heavy snowfall over the weekend
The best reward after clearing snow from the driveway is a snack and a cup of coffee while sitting next to the wood stove.

Winter has arrived.
Well we officially joined the rest of Canada yesterday with our first snowfall of the season. Not bad considering it’s the middle of January.
And so it begins. -

Rolling in the deep… snow
Rolling in the deep snow Well, we were snowshoeing. And good thing, there’s at least 3-4 ft of snowfall on this old road through the property.

Southern Border
Northern Border I originally found this tree grown over the wire fence back on Jan 09 2007. The tree continues to grow, although the sap is a clear indication of the tree’s disagreement with the steel wire. I’ll have to get back there and get a picture in the same way as the original back in 2007.

Snow Glow On a walk around the property, the earlier afternoon sun peaks through the trees, allowing the snow to glow in places.

Clearing snow at Kathryn’s
Plenty of snow fell in the region on Feb 08. After clearing our own driveway we drove over to Kathryn’s to clear out her lot as well.

Snow fall Feb 08 and 09 2016
drifitng snow Plenty of snow fell over night. Up past my knee when out in the open, so that’s about 45-50 cm. Took some video of snow clearing. The snow wasn’t difficult to push but underneath is a lot of ice. Just like last year.
