Cutting veneer on the saw mill
Trembling Aspen veneer I have a couple 12 inch diameter Trembling Aspen logs in the yard. Today I took some time to cut some different thicknesses, just to see what it looks like and how well the mill cuts aspen. It did a good job milling down to 1/8 inch thickness.

Small crotch pine What to do…what to do? This is not a large timber, its actually a branch from a bigger pine tree that was felled earlier this year. Its next up on the sawmill for cutting, just have not yet decided what to do.

Curved planks for sale

I slabbed these boards from a curve in a trunk a couple days ago. I think its spruce. About 1 inch thick. The overall length is about 53 inches. The width at the apex of the curve is 6-8 inches.
