Large Map Of Scotland
No better way to start of the new year than making a large map. This time it is a map of Scotland and it is going to be shipped to….yup, Scotland.

DIY Carved Trees
While we have carved a couple of trees before, it has been a few years. Much like riding a bike I guess. After a few minutes it started to seem more familiar.

Horse Stall Sign
Are you a horse person? Cows and horses kinda freak me out. I think it is their size and the fact that I’m not around them much. Sheep too. And some dogs. Hmmm I starting to see a pattern.

Map Of NS With Compass
Back again with yet another wood map of Nova Scotia, this time with a compass. We received a request from a lady in Saskatchewan for this map and she asked us to make a compass with her coordinates as well.

DIY Rope Basket
I did it!! I made my own basket. That’s what you have to do if you can’t find what you want… when you want it. And I would do it again and just might.
It all started when we received a snake plant from my sister for our anniversary last week. I took off the wrapping and saw it needed to be repotted so I did that but it still looked naked.

New Nova Scotia Wood Map
We have been seeing a spike in inquiries regarding our wood maps of Nova Scotia from right here at home as well as across Canada. We attribute it to the recent events in our province and the outpouring of love for Nova Scotia that has followed.

Metal and Wood Clock DIY
This project has been in the works since early fall last year. First we had to source our materials. Of course wood is in abundance in the workshop, the metal we bought locally but the clock parts took a little longer to arrive.

“Refined” Stump Table
I know, I know, using the words refined and stump table together is kinda strange. But I didn’t want a round hunk of a log with the bark peeled off just sitting on the floor as a side table. This one from Wayfair is selling for $499.00 and you can even make monthly payments if you wish!! Who buys this stuff.

Wooden Santa Ornaments
It’s that time of year again when thoughts turn to Christmas. Ha…is that cheesy or what? Just kidding anyhow, cause Christmas is my least favourite time of the year. However, I do like making things…and one can never have enough ornaments. Not the store bought kind, the homemade kind of course.

Finishing and Installing Solar Driveway Lights
This sounded like a fairly quick project but it turned out to be quite involved. Earlier we showed how it all started. Next up, the finishing process. Jim took the lanterns apart and I brought them in the house for staining. Hopefully staining them means they won’t need as much maintenance as apposed to using paint.
