It has been raining off and on since Sunday so no work on outdoor projects, but it is a good time to get caught up on our indoor projects.

2016 comes to a close
Birds on a wire A lot has happened in 2016, some good, some bad. The best investment we made this year was a bird feeder in the spring. The spring brought many types of birds and our favorite among them is the chickadee.

At the feeder a Rose-breasted Grosbeak
This bird, if its the same bird, shows up at the feeder about once every other day (or at least that is what we notice). Its a Rose-breasted Grosbeak.

In the yard a Common Grackle Quiscalus
This year for some reason there are plenty of new birds showing up at our door step. Not complaining, we enjoy them all. Today it seems a black body, blue head and yellow eyed bird showed up. A search says its a Common Grackle Quiscalus.
