Lumber on board

All aboard! 🙂 This is what 1,453 board feet of spruce and hemlock lumber looks like. A whole bunch of 8ft boards, a pallet of 12ft and some 16ft for good measure.

Last evening we went later into the sunset hours to get close to this order being completed. All that remained was a handful of 2x4x8ft and about a dozen 2x6x12ft hemlock. An early start to this day and we finished up about 11 am and just started loading the truck when it was noon. Time for lunch.

Time to maneuver this pallet on and then it’s time for the 16ft stuff.

With the 16ft aboard, a pallet of 12ft 2×6’s was put on top.

Ready to roll. The missus was riding shotgun. She joked about needing an armed escort. I told here we’d have to drive Fast & Furious and keep an eye out for 3 black Honda being driven by Dom, Letty and the gang. 🙂

Funny thing is, on the road we pulled into a Wilson’s for fuel. A fellow was on the other side of the pumps and commented that we might need an armed guard with that amount of lumber on board. Armed guard indeed, she’s riding shotgun. 🙂
