DIY Wooden Door Stop
A couple of months ago we laid new hardwood floors in the bedroom and when we put the room back together we decided to take apart the floor mirror and hang it on the back of the bedroom door.

Wood Map of British Columbia
We got an email this week from a girl inquiring about a wood map of BC. In the email she included a couple of Nova Scotia wood maps she found on our For Sale page. Since she was mailing the map to a friend who is getting married, she wanted a smaller map.

Hardwood Floors With A Twist
When we built this house some 18 years ago (where did the time go!) we had the same berber carpet put in all the bedrooms. Fast forward those 18 years and it was time to change our bedroom flooring. The other bedrooms see very little traffic so they will probably outlast us.

Christmas In August?? Making Wooden Candles
No definitely not. In fact I don’t even like Christmas in December if you must know. What I do like is making things. All kinds of things. Even Christmas ornaments in August.
I had some free time while Jim was busy in the workshop so I decided to make some wooden candles for the tree.

Painted Drop Cloth Pillow Covers
I’ve been on the hunt for new 20 x 20 pillow covers for the sofa for months. First I checked local then the real search began on the internet. Everything was either too plain, too dark, to busy, or more commonly… too expensive. I did find one set I liked but they were over $80. Just for pillow covers, not actual pillows! I can find a lot of things to spend $80 on but not pillow covers. Especially when I can make my own for much less.

Building a Couple Of Urns
Friends of ours asked if Jim would build them two urns. Unusual request…but an honor really. Always up for a challenge we agreed to give it a go.

Prince Edward Island Map
We are going to be cutting it close on this map, no pun intended, it may be a late Christmas present for someone. You just can’t rush the perfection that is a wooden map. Ha.
