Each Saturday morning I review 10 vintage logging, forestry and saw milling photos. This week’s review of vintage logging is about saw pits, mostly in the late 1800’s. Saw pits and frame saws have been around over a thousand years.

    Love these old picture’s. I’m 57 and Remember my Dad who now is 78. Using a Cain saw and a mule to drag logs and to load truck going to the meal . WOW they were some tough men in them pictures.I wonder where the wood went or was used at back then! Thanks for posting!
