CBN Plated Chainsaw Sharpening
Uniformity in design brings consistency in results. When it comes to chainsaw sharpening, consistency in the tooth sharpening and rake height means that your job of sawing through wood takes less effort. You literally have an easier job of slicing through the wood.
We designed our sharpening wheels to fit chainsaw chains sharpening machines that accept 5 inch diameter wheels. The grit is equivalent to 100/120 sandpaper. If you require a custom size or grit, please let us know.
Below is a well worn chainsaw chain. Its pretty much at the end of its life but good enough to show differences in stone grinding wheels and our plated wheel.
First up, a tooth sharpened with a stone wheel. Note the dark areas that the wheel did not touch, therefore the tooth is not perfectly sharpened.
Now let’s take a look at the adjoining tooth that has been sharpened with one of our wheels. Note the bright metal exposed from the rake of the tooth right through to the bottom of the gullet.
Here’s another couple pictures, first a stone wheel sharpened tooth. Note the dark area under the edge of the tooth that was not sharpened.
And the next tooth sharpened with our sharpening wheel.
