Victorian Dollhouse: Customer Project

The Victorian Barbie Doll House woodworking plan is quite popular in our online store. It is a very detailed project which would take a considerable amount of time to complete. Recently, we received photos from a customer who just finished building this project.

Amazing work

Here is what she wrote:

“Hi, I have just spent 15 months completing your Victorian Dollhouse. I have also made all of the furniture and fittings for it. It is fully glazed with leadlight windows, all electric downlights, tiling, jarrah floorboards etc…. It has certainly been a challenging project, and the learning curve was steep! I have attached a photo of myself with the house… As for the hours, I would have to say at least 1200. That is working on 20 hours a week for 15 months. Some weeks would be more, rarely less. Bearing in mind that as an absolute beginner, some things I did two, three, four times. My first staircase was made four times before I was happy with it! If you are interested in any other photos, as you upload, please let me know. I have LOTS taken at all stages as I intend to make one of those picture books now that it’s complete. Kind Regards Emma Robson

Hard to believe it is her first project. Here are some more pictures she sent along.
