Renovations,  Stuff

Short week!

So much to do and so little time. Thats how it seems anyways. We haven’t had a chance to mill anymore poplar logs and now we have a pile of pine to get done before winter. We have a running list in the office and other things have to get done first.

A lady in our neck of the woods contacted Jim to see if he would have time to install a new glass storm door for her.

On Wednesday afternoon we knocked one thing off our list. I went along for an extra set of hands. It looks fabulous if I do say so myself.

Of course now she has more projects for us. We find there are a lot of older women living alone in our area. Their husbands have passed away and children are grown and gone.

A couple, who bought a picnic table/bench from us, contacted us and want a Christmas Nativity, Santa, and Angel. And they want them by the end of October so they can get the stakes in the ground before we get frost. So Jim printed off the patterns and cut them out of pressure treated plywood using the jigsaw.

Jim traced the pattern for Santa on the plywood cutout while I got busy with painting the other pieces.

The customer picked the colours for the nativity pieces, I’m sure they will look nice with flood lights on them at Christmas time. Only the Stable and Santa have detailed painting. The Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus are all solid colours.

I’ll have this done by Monday for sure so I’ll show you how it turns out.

Jim is working on a wall mounted jewelery organizer for another customer. That should also be finished by Monday.

Thought you might enjoy this moon picture from the other evening.
