Don’t have a cow?

Don’t have a cow? Well now you can! 🙂 I designed this cow last week after a person contacted me saying they wanted a large 3D cow. Something they could cut from a a full piece of plywood.

So what I designed was this cow, the body is cut from a full sheet of plywood and the two leg panels are cut from a half sheet of plywood. I bought 1/2 inch thick plywood from Central Home Improvement.

Also included in the design of the full size patterns is a cow with its head up.

This will get painted in the next day or so. Probably a black and white dairy cow.

As with any woodworking project, you can adapt it to suit your needs. If you want the cow all black or brown or white, easy, just paint whatever you like. If you want a bull, simply don’t include the teets as part of the project. Tail too long? Just make it shorter. Maybe you want the tail blowing in the breeze? Cut off the plywood tail and attach on a white rope and fray the end. Legs not in the right place for you? Just move the slots on the pattern to a location that you prefer. Its all possible!
