I like having ingredient out where I can see them, maybe its due to the years working in the bakery where everything was on open shelves, easy to get and see. Whether its for easy access, seeing when we’re getting low on some ingredient or inspiration on the next recipe.. which reminds me, I have a jar of dried apricots looking to become a tasty treat. 🙂

I removed one of the panels from the side of the pantry cabinet (held in place by 6 screws) and made this rack from scrap pine and scrap bead board. I designed it so there is no need for a bar or dowel on each shelf to hold the bottles in place. I simply tilted the individual shelves back 15 degrees. Filled the holes that would be exposed and sprayed the rack with left over paint that was a close match to the cupboards.
