Sweets for sweets

The dear wife made some fudge, peanut butter and chocolate chips. I love sweets and I like fudge but only in small amounts. There’s a lot of sugar packed into a little square!

I was on my way out the door to bring mail to the post office and thought about bringing some fudge to the postmaster. She was pleased to receive the treats, expressing she’s never had peanut butter fudge before. While posting the mail I spied a few bottle of what looked like honey on the floor.

I asked her about it. She reached down, picked one up and put it on the counter in front of me. For me? Yes. How sweet! 🙂 I learned a local lady makes the honey. We continued to discuss the goodness of locally made foods, gardening (of which I still have to try) and other local goings on. It was a good visit, and something I would not have experienced had I just sat at my home office desk and bought my postage online.

First thing when I got home was crack open the mason jar and dip in a spoon for a taste. Creamy and smooooothhhh. 😛
