Sunroom on the deck with shades part 8

The following few pics show the canopy we built. Three panels that hang independent of each other. Using simply supplies such as left over 3/4 inch quarter-round molding and brass cup hooks. The panels can be placed in a couple of different positions depending on the position of the sun in the sky.

When the sun gets low in the evening sun, its nice to be able to drop a shade in case one person wants to stay out of the sunshine.

This is the best looking solution I have seen! We have a large sunroom facing west that is attached to the kitchen. I have been searching for a shade solution for years. I’m surious how this has held up for you and what the fabric is that you used? Is it a Sunbrella fabric or other sun-resistant?

    Appreciate any tips.

      Hi,
Thanks for your comment. The sunroom is still going strong. The fabric was something we picked out at the local fabric store. We just look for outdoor fabric that would hold up well, the store clerk showed us a pile of fabric bolts and we picked that one. The shades are still in just as new condition.
