No more builder beige

DIY painting
Gina has enough of beige.

The Mission: To paint over the ugly builder beige paint scheme that the builders applied to several areas of the home. With all the angles and open spaces, its hard to know where to start and stop. One good thing about paint, if you don’t like it, just paint over it

The Total Cost so far, $100 materials:

  1. 3 gallons of paints (but it looks like we only needed 2)
  2. 5 hrs labor (so far)

The Process: With the paint barely dry in the basement, Gina breaks out the paint brushes and rollers again to attack the main floor and second floor of the house. We decided to work with a Benjamin Moore Moore Style Pearl paint. Hands down the best paint we’ve worked with. It covers well, and the texture of the dried surface is just perfect. Not glossy and not too flat. Just right!

The Result: Pictures never do justice on a computer for web browsing. The color actually turned out pretty good. A greenish base that turns grey in some areas.
