Mower chugging

Brand new Craftsman mower. Only 24 hrs of use. The mower decides to start chugging.
Now engines are not my strong suit. I have a love/hate relationship with them. When they work, I love them. When they don’t, I hate them.
I like to tinker though, so there’s no harm in getting out the tool for a little exploratory search.

Throttle seems to be working ok.

It all appears to be ok. So its time to look in the carb itself.

Nothing seems to be sticking. Time to call brother Mike, the mechanic guru in the family. He suggests to check the float bowl to see if the float is sticking.

Well, that looks good. But on his advice I took the bowl off (white part). Which is a bit tricky because there are some tiny parts, like the needle. All I know is that when I put it back together, it works just fine. 🙂
