This project took a couple of days to do. Russell MacHattie and I were raised up in the cage. The boom truck was supplied by James MacEachern of Antigonish. Contact Mr. MacEachern at 863-9627 or 863-4931 if you need the services of a boom truck. Extra help provided by Ron MacCara. Materials for the repairs purchased at Central Home Improvement Warehouse in Antigonish.

We got busy working on the north side first. The north side of any building is typically in need of more repairs as it does not get the direct sun light as the south side does. So usually there are issues of wet or dry rot depending on the age and ventilation in the building.

Russell MacHattie busy at work putting down some new flashing on the south side. Not much wood needed to be replaced on this side.

The old lead flashing had to come out and we bent some new flashing to replace. You can see the braided cable for the lightening rod.

The top of the steeple will need some attention in the coming year or two. Shingles will need replacing.
