Backyard fire pit panels.
To accompany the round deck we built, we figured a back yard fire pit would go well with the design.
It starts with a general lay out and design. The design was easy, simply keep it familiar with the deck and arbor that was built earlier.
A person could use square posts and simple miter cuts.. but no, that’s too easy 🙂 The framing was easy, but then I tapered the 4×4 posts.
The final step (no pic available) is I framed the pit area around the back of the trellis and around the front with 2×6 pressure treated lumber. I dug a shallow ditch, inserted the 2×6 then covered the framed in area with landscape cloth. Then filled in the frame with crushed stone.
