The last sailing ships in Sharples and Dobell’s Cove, Sillery, Quebec, preparing to load square timbers from J.R. Booth’s timber limits in 1891. By the end of the 19th Century most of the lumber and square timbers were laoded on ships in Montreal.

A Newfoundland born Canadian with a life long interest in woodworking, baking and anything else that peaks my curiosity.
