Renovations
A renovation can take me on a journey in many different ways in many different places.

Kings United Church steeple repairs
This project took a couple of days to do. Russell MacHattie and I were raised up in the cage. The boom truck was supplied by James MacEachern of Antigonish. Contact Mr. MacEachern at 863-9627 or 863-4931 if you need the services of a boom truck. Extra help provided by Ron MacCara. Materials for the repairs purchased at Central Home Improvement Warehouse in Antigonish.

Damn door jambs – not for the squemish
OK, fair warning, this story is about installing laminate flooring and what can happen when you take all the necessary safety precaution with exception to using the proper tool.

Basement bathroom
This is a project that will take a while to do since I will be working at it as I get time. I don’t have far to travel since its in my basement. 🙂 Of course, house reno’s tend to stretch out too because I keep saying, I’ll get to it.

Interior painting in 5 hours
What can be done when you have: a couple gallons of paint, two people, paint applicators, ladders and five hours? You can paint the interior living room of your home! Yes, 5 hours and that included a half hour for lunch too!

Laminate floor install
A client arranged to have 400 sq ft of laminate installed in his home. Here are some progress pictures during the installation.

Gyproc and plaster basement rec room ceiling.
A friend in Heatherton asked if I could help him with a rec room reno. Sure I said! We had to build a bulkhead due to plumbing but it may very well become the new bar area!
This is the before.

Sheep barn repairs
Both sides of this sheep barn has an entrance. Along side each door is the part of the plastic sheeting that rolls up for ventilation. This area of the barn’s design fails, in my opinion. So its my job to figure out a way to keep the plastic from tearing.

Reshingle a roof
The neighbor recognized he’d need some help with a job this big and a bunch of us were willing to help out. He was re-shingling the home he grew up in. I swung by and gave him a helping hand too.

Bridging the gap
The metal barn was pre-existing and the plastic dome sheep barn was recently added. Much of the heat was being lost between the gaps of the two buildings.
