On Monday morning we got a call from the store that sells our folding bench/picnic tables to tell us they sold the last one and could we bring another.
We didn’t waste any time getting back to operation cleanup!! The next morning we headed out and first up was loading the newly re-built wood bin with the pile of maple firewood we picked up for free in Guysborough. We had to cut and split them. I just set aside any that were too large and they would be split smaller later.

Hey, we are still alive, or better yet Jim is.
Great day for a walk, right after lunch we took a little hike. They near the end, she took a little fall. I did go to her rescue but … only AFTER first capturing it on camera. 🙂
A crips cool morning at -4º C as the foggy makes its way down the interval across the lake. At the same time, a low ceiling of clouds hangs overhead, allowing just a slice of the landscape to show through.

Plenty of snow fell in the region on Feb 08. After clearing our own driveway we drove over to Kathryn’s to clear out her lot as well.
Plenty of snow fell over night. Up past my knee when out in the open, so that’s about 45-50 cm. Took some video of snow clearing. The snow wasn’t difficult to push but underneath is a lot of ice. Just like last year.
Storm Update…we still have no power. This whole mess started Fri at 5 pm. Estimated time of restoration is 8:15 pm Feb 2. With that said, my neighbour got his power back 8 pm this evening. The internet wireless tower is downstream of him so it has power, which allows us to finally get back online with the help of generator but can’t do anything else.
Below are some pictures from a walk on Saturday, along the old road on our property.
Plenty of snow fell last night. About 40 cm or more in some places.
Time to dig out the the skidsteer for this job.
