A couple deer are considered friendly neighbours. They certainly are not friendly enough to approach, but if we are still and quiet, they pass along without much bother.
The Lighthouse Foundation of Wake County contacted me, asking if I could make a lighthouse for an upcoming fund raising. They liked the lighthouse Christmas tree topper I made years ago. I was happy to oblige and spent a couple hours in the workshop today making up the parts.

I took a video using a GoPro Hero3+Black this morning, plenty of fog on the lake, looks like its going to be a humid day. Also captured the hummingbirds with the feeding pretty much empty from overnight. This video is best watched in Full Screen mode.
Went for a walk in the woods this Sunday morning. A while back I spied an evergreen down by the shore whose needles had turned red. So I went to investigate. Took some pictures along the shore.

Road trip today, its been a while since we traveled across the flats between NS and NB. Plenty of super sized windmills along the road.

Seems the dry weather is bringing all sorts of wildlife out of the woods. We’ve been here 9 yrs and never seen a gopher on the property. One showed up this morning munching on the dry grass/weeds.
