The forecast called for rain all weekend but we went out Saturday morning anyways to see what we could get done before it started to rain.
A neighbour we had never met before contacted Jim to see if we were able to bring the chipper over to his property. He had heard us using it at our house.
Spent the Victoria Day weekend thinning trees, chipping and mulching the waste so that it can quickly compost back into the soil.
Spring cleanup beings!
Spring has sprung, and while the weather remains cool, its the best time to do some outdoor work.
Twig breaker was broke off when I bought this unit. Bought a new one (cost about $75) and when fitting it, the breaker strikes the slots in the flywheel blades. So an adjustment needs to be made with a grinder.
We picked up a used wood chipper to manage some of the thinning that is required on the property. Drove a couple of hours to pick it up.
Update Dec 18 2013 – This wood chipper is for sale $3,500 or best offer.
