This was a fun project, just like the 3D Moose. I always enjoy carving, just to watch something emerge from the block of wood. In this case I used a scrap piece of spruce 2×4 lumber about 6 inches long.
A very unique Valentine gift for that special person in my life, my wife Gina.
This is a simple project made from scrap board and decorated with tole paints. Not much to say other than draw up a design you like, cut it on the scrollsaw, punch some tin, tack it in place and light a candle.
Intarsia… such an odd name, enough to scare some people from even trying such a project. Wooden puzzle… now that sounds more fun!
This is a fairly simple project made from scrap board and decorated with tole paints but like the Christmas Elvs Project, there’s quite a bit of work involved in the tole painting.
This is a simple scroll saw project made from scrap wood 3/4 inch MDF board (or anything else you might have), then decorated with tole paints.
The boat was made from all scrap material. A bit of 1×4 spruce strapping and some 2×8 spruce pieces left over from a set of stairs. The sides are made of 1/4 inch thick plywood. The bow of the boat is capped with a piece of roof flashing.
A fun sign that makes me chuckle every time I see it.
Going through the birdhouse craze! Some more scrap wood projects.
