This project is a lot simpler than it looks. Start with a sheet of graph paper. The markings will help out with marking images that mirror each other off of the vertical of the total image. Anybody can sketch simple images such as this.
Just for fun, I made one of these and gave it to my Accountant as a gift. No plan to follow, just looked at a picture. He got quite a laugh out of it and keeps it on display in his office.

My first scroll saw project involving intarsia. Using 3/4″ pine and several types of stain I came up with a nice color combination.
I’ve seen the tiny little wooden books that craft suppliers sell and gave it a twist. Using scrap pieces of 3/4″ pine I used varying sizes and used a 1/2″ double flute bit on the router table to give the inset for the “pages”.
