This plan provides all of the instructions to make two sizes of a Speedboat whirlygig PLUS your own whirligig propellers. Make use of your scrap wood pieces with this yard art project. Simply print, trace, cut and paint. Beginner skill level.
This unit stands 72 inches tall and 22 inches wide and 14 inches deep. The upper and lower cabinets detach for easy transport. This one is made from MDF and surprisingly heavy. Painted with 3 coats latex paint.
I made these from 1-1/2″ x 11″ pine stair tread lumber I bought a couple years back, been kicking around the workshop since then. The other pic shows the double lid coffee table and entertainment center I made about 4 years ago.
Now for something totally different…light switch covers.
Made from 3/4″ pine I “eyeballed” this project from a picture in a magazine. A fairly straightforward project in design. The gingerbread in the center had to be cut with a jigsaw. The piece was obviously too large for a scroll saw. The front section is one solid piece. The end strips were carefully spread apart to fit in the spindles.
A simple project made from 3/4 inch pine. Corners were joined with a 45 deg miter cut to hide the ends of the boards. Heart shape cutouts done on a scroll saw.
