Animals,  Baking,  Donuts,  Scrollsaw

Random Wednesday.

It has been raining off and on since Sunday so no work on outdoor projects, but it is a good time to get caught up on our indoor projects.

Jim had cut a Nova Scotia map for a lady a couple of months ago and she contacted him to order three more. She wanted them cut from pressure treated plywood so she could do her own finishing and she sent a pic along of the first one she did. It turned out really nice. She had painted it and put it on a pallet backboard.

Close up of map being cut.

This is the pic she sent to Jim after she preformed her magic.

Customer completed NS map.

While Jim was in the workshop I got busy finishing up some more Christmas presents. Can’t show you now, you know… surprises and all.

Don’t look RJ, nothing to see here.

We also have to eat..so we baked a few things to help sustain us through all these projects. First up we made sour cream cake donuts.

Yum.

They disappeared, not sure what happened, so we made fruitcake minus the cherries. I hate cherries.  I know it is only September but we like fruitcake any time of year. No need to wait for Christmas.

Fruit cake.

We just happened to be looking out the window when we spotted this bird. We had to look it up and found out it is a Northern Flicker. Cool.

Ever since we worked on the church replacing siding, painting, putting in new double doors, and building a new doorstep, Jim has been getting calls from locals wanting doors and windows replaced as well as new flooring etc. Going tomorrow to give estimates.

The weather is supposed to clear soon. It will be good to get back outdoors working on fun things. Nothing better than working outdoors.

Told you it was going to be random.
