Pumpkin Carving

Carved this pumpkin this evening

I tried my hand at wood carving. Given the time of year I figured a pumpkin was in order. It was also my first time using the Arbortech power carving tools.

I did the rough cutting with a chainsaw first. Then I used the Arbortech mini grinder carver and the Arbortech Power Carver Kit. I finish sanded with one of the sanding discs in a sanding kit that came with the mini grinder.

All total it took about an hour. I posted a video of the finished results, see below. I learned a bit while doing it, like not to carve too deep making the divisions of the pumpkin at the start with the chainsaw. It just causes more work using the Arbortech tools. So, next time I do a video of carving one and not embarrass myself… too much anyway. 🙂
