Pallet wood tapered box

Ahh, the fall season… my kind of weather. That part of the year that bring about the rustic feeling of hot coffee in the morning, a good bowl of chowder or a warm fire. Speaking of fire…

The stack of pallets are dwindling in the yard as we work our way through blocking and splitting a multitude of wood.

But before the pallet pile disappears altogether, whether it but underneath the stacked firewood, or cut up for splits, there’s at least one project left in there. Gina found a decorative tapered box on Pinterest and asked if I could make up. Well I found this in the pallet pile.

After supper I took the X brace from this pallet and in about ten minutes, with the help of the miter saw, table saw and brad nailer I made the box. I call it a trough, but whatever. 🙂

I brought the box in and shortly thereafter Gina had it decorated. Well done I say!
