Root removal and keeping the critters out

Backhoe gets some use.

Gina’s mom had a couple of overgrown evergreen shrubs cut down a week or so ago. We came back today and picked out the roots, which were quite shallow but still a little difficult to pull them out. Then dump them in the woods.

And then its up on the ladder… look up… look wayyyy up… As high as the ladder could go, standing on the last rung of the ladder, and I barely had the height to wrapped from hardwire cloth around the chimney rain cap to keep the squirrels and birds from getting trapped down in the chimney.
