This week was eventful because I received two parcels in the mail from recent purchases. Francie B. sent me the box of plans, 58 in total. Among them, 15 of them are new to me so they will go straight into my collection. The rest I will consider their condition and swap them with one’s currently in my collection.
For a number of years now I’ve been collecting a specific series of woodworking plans, craft projects and building drawings that were produced by a gentleman named A. Neely Hall. during the 1950’s through to the early 1980’s until they went out of business. I have a web site that shows my collection at ANeelyHall.com
Every once in a while someone will contact me saying they have one (or more) of these plans and that they found me by finding the ANeelyHall.com site. They read through the listing and then tell me what they have which is not on my list. That catches my attention! And sometimes they have a grouping of the plans which I might already have most of, but there could be one that I need. I will consider buying them all, keep for my collection what I need and resell the duplicates in the Vintage and Recycled Plans category in my online store.
Many of these are folded and a little browned with age so the duplicates will most likely get sold in the store. They are still readily useable as a woodworking project plan.
I also received a smaller parcel of plans from Sandra H. and while many of them were duplicates, all of them were in near mint condition. I consider mint to be in perfect condition with no folds or crease. The ones pictured below are folded, so they are ‘near mint’. Most likely many of these will get swapped with ones in my collection and then those will be sold in my online store. Many of these projects are garage buildings, and a few lawn projects.
