Wainscoting in the basement part 16

2 hours of filling nail holes and seams. Ran out of molding and caulking, so another trip to the hardware store. There’s about 15 ft left to install.

As you can see in the larger picture below, the sanding marks that took off the paint. You see, on purpose I installed the small wood trim (inside the box) just proud. By that I mean the wood trim stuck out just a little bit so that when I pass over it with a palm sander, the wood trim will be flush with the MDF parts.

We’re getting close to finishing the wainscot!! I can smell it.. or maybe that’s the paint 🙂
